Mini tunnels are used over low hoops to create a protected space around young or weather-sensitive crops. The film can reduce direct exposure to wind, light rain and cool conditions while allowing the grower more control over the immediate crop environment.
Polywrap manufactures clear LDPE mini-tunnel film for agricultural use. Width, length, micron and UV requirements should be selected around the tunnel structure, crop cycle and local conditions.
A tunnel can become too warm quickly. Ventilation, irrigation and daily crop inspection remain important, particularly on bright or unexpectedly hot days.

Questions farmers ask us
Does a mini tunnel prevent frost?
It can provide a degree of protection from cool air and light frost, but performance depends on temperature, tunnel design, sealing, wind and crop position. It should not be treated as a frost guarantee.
Does the tunnel need ventilation?
Yes. Heat and humidity can build rapidly, so the grower must manage ventilation according to the crop and daily weather.
Are custom roll sizes available?
Yes. Commercial sizes can be manufactured to specification, subject to production requirements.
