Our short demonstration shows controlled film production, in-house pallet-wrap testing and puncture-resistance testing.

In-House Pallet Wrap Testing

Polywrap operates an in-house film-testing facility to evaluate pallet-wrap performance, consistency and suitability for demanding packaging applications. Our testing capability helps customers compare film performance, investigate recurring wrapping problems and select a suitable product for their load and wrapping method.

This is a practical film-testing facility and is not represented as an accredited laboratory.

Film performance testing

  • Ultimate film performance
  • Film quality and consistency
  • Film breaks per roll
  • Puncture resistance
  • Film retention
  • Roller retention
  • Cling performance
  • Roll-length verification

Customer wrap evaluation

Businesses can ask Polywrap to evaluate their current pallet wrap and wrapping requirements. Testing is used together with information about the pallet load, equipment, transport conditions and current film consumption.

The objective is not merely to supply a roll of film—it is to identify a reliable wrapping solution with the right balance of stretch, puncture resistance, load retention and cost.

Controlled manufacturing and traceability

Polywrap applies controlled manufacturing, incoming raw-material checks, authorised product release, batch traceability, non-conforming-product controls and complaint investigation procedures.

These controls support consistent film manufacture and allow quality concerns to be investigated against the relevant production information.

FSSC 22000 certified

Polywrap’s Blackheath manufacturing facility is certified to FSSC 22000 Version 6 for the manufacture of plastic wrap for use in the food industry.

Certification documents are supplied only to verified customers on request and are not available as public downloads.

Laboratory-Tested Agricultural Mulch Film

Polywrap manufactures UV-stabilised agricultural mulch film for different growing periods. Film below 30 micron is formulated for seasonal use of up to six months, while film from 30 micron and above is formulated for use of up to 12 months under recommended conditions. Alternative formulations can be manufactured for specialised applications.

Independent accelerated-weathering screening exposed three Polywrap black mulch formulations to 900 hours of UVA wet-cycle testing. The laboratory reported no obvious colour change.

The weathering report evaluates colour stability and is not an unconditional field-life guarantee. Actual performance depends on thickness, formulation, climate, UV exposure, geographical location, installation, soil conditions, agricultural chemicals and physical damage. Detailed reports are supplied to verified customers when relevant and are not published for download.
