Bring more available light into the lower canopy
Polywrap reflective orchard sheeting is laid along orchard rows to redirect available sunlight into shaded parts of the tree canopy. Growers use it during the colour-development period for selected fruit crops where improved light distribution can support more even colour.
The film is manufactured from UV-stabilised polyethylene and is available in practical orchard widths and roll lengths. Typical options include 30 and 40 micron, with made-to-specification production available for commercial requirements.
Reflective film does not replace good canopy management. Positioning, cleanliness, timing, orchard orientation and local sunlight determine the result.
Planning the installation
Timing
Many orchards install reflective sheeting approximately four to eight weeks before harvest, but the correct timing depends on crop variety, maturity and local advice.
Placement
Lay the reflective surface upward alongside the tree row where it can catch direct light. Secure the edges well enough for the expected wind conditions.
Maintenance
Keep the exposed surface as clean as practical. Dust, mud, standing water and heavy shading reduce the amount of useful light reflected.

Which crops can use reflective sheeting?
It is commonly considered for fruit where skin colour is influenced by light exposure, including certain apple, stone-fruit and pomegranate programmes. Suitability should be confirmed for the variety and orchard.
Is thicker film always better?
A higher micron generally provides a larger handling and puncture margin, but installation, traffic, wind and surface preparation still determine field performance.
Can you manufacture custom sizes?
Yes. Width, micron and roll length can be discussed for made-to-specification orders, subject to production minimums.
